1. How do I decide what kind of sign is best for my business?

We'll ask you the important questions to help decide on the appropriate sign. Details regarding budget, purpose for the sign, image you want to project, durability required, height, environment sign will be in, light and regulations all play a role, so bring us the details you have and we'll help you sort through options.

2. What file formats do I need to provide when ordering a sign?

We'll do everything we can to make what you can provide work. Below is guidance on what works best:
    Media Supported
    CD (Standard, R/RW)
    Compact Flash I/II
    DVD (Standard, R/RW +/-)
    E-Mail
    SD/MMC
    Smart Media
    USB Flash Drives
    Web File Transfer
    Software Packages Supported
Adobe Illustrator CS4 .ai, .eps, .pdf
    Adobe Photoshop CS4 .psd
Generic raster image files. ex. .bmp .tif .pcx .jpg .gif
Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint (not recommended)
    Preparation Notes
    Vector Images
Be sure to either include the fonts, or convert fonts to outlines (preferred). If your document contains fonts needed in the design (even the most common fonts), be sure they are included. Many versions of fonts exist, sometimes even with identical names. By including your own, or converting text to outlines, you can ensure accuracy on your sign. Also, include any linked images in the document. Please design your artwork to final size when possible, or include scaling information.

    Raster Images
Any raster images inside designs should be 100-150 dpi at full size, for closely viewed prints and 75 - 100 dpi for prints viewed from a distance. Keep in mind that the print will only be as good as the original. Be aware that if you copy your logo or image from your web site, it probably doesn't have enough information to reproduce it any larger than the size that it is on your screen, without noticeable image quality loss. If possible, include a color copy of the design for our soft proofing.

3. What is a proof?

A proof is the final test before we produce your sign. It allows you to review the layout and design of your sign digitally or in print, and request necessary changes before we physically create your job. We ask that you approve the proof before we start making your sign.

4. Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?

By reviewing your proof, you can ensure that our team handled every detail exactly how you want it. Misunderstandings and crossed signals happen at every business. This is our way of saving the time and money that mistakes can cost.

5. Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?

It seems unnecessary, right? But a proof is still useful, even when you submit files on a disk. Programs, files and output devices have flaws and create errors, just like humans. Reviewing a final proof ensures your job traveled across formats accurately.

6. How do I go about getting an estimate from you?

The easiest way to request an estimate is through our Request Estimate button on the Home Page. Simply complete that form, and we'll get back to you soon. Otherwise, you can always give us a call or stop in, and we'd be glad to talk about your project and provide an estimate.

7. How long does it take for you to create my sign?

In sign making, every job is unique. Therefore, every timeline is different. Basic jobs like banners or posters can be done in less than a week, and more complicated jobs can take up to six weeks. Tell us when you need your sign, and we'll do everything we can to provide you with your high quality signs when you need them.

8. Do you provide installation services?

There are different types of sign installations, and we can handle them all. Whether we hire an outside installer for major jobs, or take care of the installation ourselves; we'll make sure that the problem is solved.

9. Can you provide on-site consultations?

We are more than happy to meet with you at your location to help provide the correct solution for your signage needs.

10. How much will my sign cost?

Our signs are custom made for you, so it is difficult to have a static price list. Many factors impact price including size and materials used. We will walk with you through all of them and help you to stay within your budget. We can assure you that we will always strive to give you superior service and quality products at a fair price.

11. What are the Store hours?

We are open, 9:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday through Friday. If another day and time would be more convenient, just let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

12. How long will this sign last?

We use a wide variety of materials. Some are designed for short-term use and others will stand the test of time. We will work with you to provide the most appropriate materials for your particular needs.

13. What colors show up the best?

The choice of color is a very important aspect when considering the effectiveness of a particular message. We are experts at color management and can help you decide on the color combinations that will give your sign maximum impact.
